Yoga encourages people to flow and be flexible. With flexibility comes strength, patience, and relaxation. Stretching is important for one's physical condition to improve. Stretching reduces muscle cramps and soreness throughout the body.
So how does stretching help with our success journey?
Just from the principles of Yoga, we can learn a lot about our own path to success.
Strength: Our mindset must be strong to handle the caliber of success we strive to achieve. How can one handle a million dollars if one cannot handle one penny? How can one handle a physically fit body if one cannot handle the mindset to achieve such a goal? How can one build relationships if one cannot work on themselves, first? It's all about a strong and willing mindset. A change of perspective is in order when it comes to strengthening our minds for the journey.
Patience: Starting off small is not a bad thing. It's the first and most important thing! We think of humble beginnings as slow. But sometimes, you have to take it slow in order to grow. If you rush headlong into battle, you will get badly injured or worse. Whereas if you take your time, you can understand the battle ahead and learn how to navigate through the enemy's camp, no matter the bruises and cuts. It's the same with our journey. Therefore, be patient with yourself and with the process. Overnight successes don't last long.
Relaxation: This is the most important thing in our success journey. Learn to relax and not take everything too seriously. Reducing stress reduces the possibility of cancerous tissues growing in the body. That, and relaxation boosts our immune system, so that we can perform at our optimal health conditions. You can't achieve success, while sacrificing your own health. Relax and let the success flow in its own time.
These are the keys to being flexible in your own success journey. How you handle each step of your journey will ultimately determine your trajectory. Will you continue to rise, despite the setbacks? Or will you quit halfway, then have to start all over again? No matter what choice you make, you are responsible for your success. After all, it is your journey.
