Do you remember a time when you were so focused on one project or task that everything else didn't matter? Sometimes, you'd forget to eat or sleep because you were heavily invested in a task. That's how it feels to work on a passion project. It's that crazy, stubborn faith that says "I'm going to see this thing through to its satisfying end, no matter the cost".
What does crazy, stubborn faith look like in our day-to-day lives? CEO and creator of TinyBoss Blog shares her most recent insights into one of the most challenging trials she has ever faced in, you guessed it, her game:
"Yes, I have been playing this game, a lot. But it's been teaching me more valuable life principles that the creator of the game wanted to instill. I was dealing with perhaps one of the most frustrating boss fights I've ever encountered. No joke, this took a week to secure one victory. I can't remember how many times I've failed, but it had to be a personal record of 40 failed attempts to one successful win. Ever since I was a little baby, I was always determined to master or succeed at something. Little did I realize that my patience, endurance and my determination to succeed would be tested this heavily. Failure after failure, missed moment after missed moment, my friends and I could barely put a dent on this boss. We made another attempt before just taking a solid long break from the fight. Little did we know that THAT last ditch effort would be the one to get us a victory! The boss of the fight was super tough, but we made it! And boy, I was so happy and relieved, I was shaking with excitement."
Now, how does that translate to real life? Consider how many failed attempts Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and other billionaires had when they ventured on their path to success. Or think about Thomas Edison's hundreds of failed attempts or Alexander Bell's failures before their experiments succeeded. Without these inventors and their ingenuity, we wouldn't have computers, light, electric-powered vehicles, Prime Day (which is coming up) and so much more. Pioneers have to overcome many trials and tests before they come to their victory lap. It's the same with your success journey.
One thing people overlook about praying for "breakthroughs" is the first part of the word: Break. Something has to break in order for you to break through. The pain comes with the breaking. But the more you apply stubborn, crazy faith to what you were called to do, the more the wall between you and your success starts to crumble. Be encouraged! If you are going through a tough time in your success journey, know that you are where you need to be. Take some time to do some introspection and see what things need to change in your life. And know that whatever you are going through is only temporary. Have the crazy, stubborn faith to see your dreams become a reality, no matter who believes in you or doesn't.
