Gratitude can transform our everyday lives into beautiful moments! Gratitude can cause our perspectives to go from negative to positive with just a simple word or phrase. But the most exciting thing of all is gratitude can form confidence!
Confidence should never be confused with arrogance. Arrogance looks down on others, and never takes ownership or responsibility upon one's own faults and mistakes. Confidence, however, is formed from a place of gratitude, where we are grateful for the learned lessons, mistakes, and the wins. Arrogance is built on insecurity and a lack of confidence. Confidence is built on gratitude, contentment, and a positive outlook on life. When we practice gratitude, we are thankful for the things we already have and the things we have to look forward to in life.
Too many people want to show off their cars, houses, and luxurious lifestyle for social media fame. Yet, the 1% can tell you that true success is not centered around arrogance or cockiness. Rather, true success is humbling and confident. Their confidence is rooted in the belief that they don't have to show off their lifestyle for the "likes", "follows", or social media clout. Instead, they prefer to keep their luxurious lives private, for legal protection as well as protection for themselves and their family.
There's nothing wrong with having the nice things in life. In fact, get yourself ready to purchase that home, that car, that Louis Vuitton handbag, that designer jacket, or that luxurious condo. Just remember to be grateful for what you have, how far you have come, and how much you have grown. Exude gratitude for the people who have rooted for you, the people who have pushed you to greatness, and the mentors who instilled wisdom in you. Show gratitude in your conversations, believing that the best is right in front of you and that you have great things to look forward to in life!
When we practice this attitude of gratitude every day, we build confidence that says, "I no longer need to show how fabulous my life is. I just live the fabulous life I was called to live. I am content in this, whether my friends and family truly support me or not. And whether they give me gifts out of sincere congratulations or not, I will still show them love and support in their endeavors, too!"
